ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR WEEK OF OCTOBER 19-25, 2014

 

Call the church office at (910) 628-9593, Rev. Anderson (910) 674-0850, church secretary Michelle Bethea cell (910) 674-1880/733-0321 or email firstbaptistfairmontnorth@gmail.com for any announcements, concerns/questions about any programs, functions, calendar dates or use of the facilities and appointments to meet with the pastor.   Submit all announcements to the office no later than Thursdays @ 6PM.

 No Bible Study Revival begins Tuesday @ 7:00 pm.  Choirs please make sure you come prepared to sing on your designated night.

Youth Missionary: All youth who plan on attending and have not signed up to attend the lock-in at Southeastern Lifestyle Fitness Center on October 24, 2014 from 7am - 7pm, please see Sister Glenda Jackson TODAY. Adult Chaperones needed. If you would like to be a chaperone, please contact Sister Glenda Jackson.

Polo Shirts: There are extra Polo Shirts if anyone is interested in purchasing one.  Please see the church secretary.  

Young Adult Missionary: sponsoring a Christmas Bike Drive.  We are challenging the other ministries and church members to purchase at least one bike that will be given to a child in need on Christmas Eve.  We are asking for all bikes by Dec. 15th.  See Latia Watson. Your support will be greatly appreciated.

Our Helping Hands Ministry is currently collecting hams, turkeys and can goods. We will serve Thanksgiving dinner to the public on Saturday, November 22, 2014. Meals will also be prepared and delivered to sick and shut-in residents. Collection bins and fliers with more information have been placed in the vestibule. Please help us share the goodness of the Lord with others this Thanksgiving.

 

Church Assessments: Our first annual Homecoming /Family & Friends’ Day Celebration will be Sunday, November 9 during morning service.  More information will be made available to you soon.  The assessment for each member is ($100).  Please mark the appropriate slot on your envelope.  Also, you can continue paying on Church Anniversary ($145) and begin paying Fall Revival ($25).

 

Culinary Ministry: Safe Food Handling Class/Tues. Oct. 28 & Nov. 4 from 5-8 pm at the O.P. Owens Agriculture Building in Lumberton. Anyone on the Culinary Ministry should plan to attend. See Derrick McCormick. 

 

Missionary Workshop: Saturday, Nov. 15th 10-1pm/Sanctuary under the leadership of WBHFM of NC 3rd Vice President, Sister Lena Johnson, First Lady of First Baptist Fayetteville

NO BIBLE STUDY ON WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 15, 2014

Due to the Lumber River Baptist Association meeting this week, there will not be any noonday or night Bible study on this Wednesday, October 15, 2014.

Today: Ushers & Nurses’ Aide 103rd Anniversary Program at 4:00.  Rev. Anderson will be the messenger for the program. Unused

Exhibition Basketball Game: Friday, October 24/7:30 pm, Juwan Addison and the Fayetteville State Broncos will play an Exhibition Game against UNC Tarheels in Chapel Hill.  The cost of tickets is $10.  Please see Bettina McCormick.
